The newly created Ifo 1 High Court in Ogun State has officially began sitting in order to treat the backlog of unfinished cases at various magistrate courts in the state. Our correspondent who visited the court, located adjacent Ifo local government area on Monday, September 23, 2024 observed numerous people with various criminal and civil cases at the court premises as early as 8 a.m to have their legal issues sorted out.
Liberate Nigeria noted that the court was one of the many new courts built and commissioned by Hon. Justice M.A. Depeolu, Chief Justice of Ogun State.
Meanwhile, operatives of the Department of Security Services (DSS), undercover police officers, and other security agents were on ground to ensure that law and order didn’t break down at the court premises. At Court 1, presided over by Hon. Justice S.T. Bello, numerous cases involving the police, individuals, corporate bodies, and others were speedily handled in record time.
